The breakfast was very good. We had a piping hot full English, and the sausage was especially tasty. There's a small extra charge for fish. Amanda in the restaurant was cheerful and helpful while serving us. We also had a drink and bar snack in the lounge bar, where the food was excellent and very competitively priced compared with other hotels we've stayed in. They serve a few locally made gins and a very nice local beer. We booked at short notice after getting last-minute concert tickets for the BIC. The hotel is on Bournemouth's West Cliff at the top of the hill, a short walk from central Bournemouth, the beach and the BIC. Beforehand, they called to check a couple of accessibility needs while the lift was being replaced. That was much appreciated and meant my partner got a suitable room. Our comfort room was on the ground floor. A little small, but perfectly adequate, nicely decorated with period features and modern furniture, and seemed recently refurbished. The bathroom was very nice, with a shower. The bed and pillows were comfortable, so we slept well. Staff throughout were welcoming and helpful. There's free on-site parking if you book direct, or it's £12.50 a day when booked elsewhere. We'd have no hesitation staying again. This will be our first choice next time we're in Bournemouth.

A lovely stay, and the reception and bar staff were great. The room was small but beautifully clean. Breakfast was good, though service felt a little chaotic, with some people served before others and tables taking a while to be cleared. Parking is available, but £12.50 a night for guests is a bit steep.

Our back, neck and shoulder massages might be the best we've ever had. Annie is an amazing therapist! We spent a couple of hours relaxing in the pool, jacuzzi and sauna during a tranquility spa day at Eden Spa. The ladies at reception gave us a lovely warm welcome, and Florin served a divine afternoon tea. His service was second to none, nothing was too much trouble, and he's such a character. Amazing all round, we can't wait to return!

We didn't need the car during our stay, as the hotel is just a five-minute walk from the beach. The lobby and bar's communal areas were comfortable and relaxing, and we were impressed by the facilities, including the pool, sauna, spa and games room. Our family room was small, but clean and tastefully decorated. We stayed two nights at the Collingwood hotel and had breakfast and dinner there. The food and service were exceptional. Thanks, Hotel Collingwood, for a lovely, relaxing break that was child friendly. I can't recommend it enough.

The sea-view room was beautiful, and the whole place felt relaxed, friendly and full of charm. I loved having so many gluten-free choices. As a Coeliac, it made eating there easy and stress-free. We had drinks, dinner and breakfast, and got to enjoy the spa too. Thanks to Lilly, Florin and Peter, and to everyone on staff for being so welcoming and attentive. A friend and I booked one night at The Collingwood for a bit of a relaxing getaway, and so we could head into town for more drinks without paying for a taxi. It was lovely from start to finish. Thanks for bringing the sunshine on Saturday morning too, there wasn't a rain cloud in sight! I'd love to visit again, even just for the delicious food. It's worth far more than 3*. You won't be disappointed. Xx
