The animals kept us entertained, and the fresh eggs in the welcome pack were a lovely touch. We spent most of our time enjoying the calm and space at Castleview instead of heading out as we’d planned. The kitchen was really well equipped, we cooked plenty, lit the fire a couple of nights, had a few drinks and slept well. Our sons and we stayed five nights last month, and all of us agreed it was the highlight of our six-week UK holiday. We needed some quiet, and this place gave us exactly that. Thanks to Tony and Caroline for making us feel so welcome and giving us a chance to switch off from busy life. Tony’s funny stories were a bonus. Maybe we’ll make it back one day.

The hosts were so welcoming and easy to chat with, and the house had loads of room. We loved the short stroll to the duck pond and watching the friendly animals wander around the property. It was wonderfully peaceful. If it had been a little warmer, I’d probably have spent most of our free time reading beside the creek. Wish we could’ve stayed longer.

We added an extra night because we loved the place, and we’ll definitely return. After our wedding, we came with family for a holiday. The house has lovely rooms and great facilities, with such peaceful surroundings and beautiful views.

Back for our third year running, so that probably says it all 😜 The house has loads of room, with three bedrooms and a bathroom for each. The kitchen has just about everything you could want, and then some. Lovely setting, great hosts, great house!
