Borderers Guesthouse

Brecon was a lovely town, and everyone we met was so friendly. We had a great stay in this quaint B&B, where Gail was warm and welcoming and shared helpful hiking and food tips, with links too. Breakfast was great. We’d love to come back.

Small rooms, but cosy, and the place has a simple, homely feel. Breakfast, service and cleanliness were all great. A lovely choice if you want somewhere comfortable and uncomplicated.

Gail's breakfast was fresh and really nice, and she was such a kind, caring host. She went above and beyond, helped with anything we needed and gave us great suggestions for places to visit and eat in the evening. The beds were so comfortable, it felt like home from home. There’s secure parking for motorbikes. Missing you already, and we’ll see you again. Lynn, Paul, Gary and Carol.

Breakfast was a full Welsh, with cereals, toast, sausage, bacon, eggs cooked three ways, baked beans, tomato and mushrooms. There was plenty to set us up for a busy day, plus orange juice, tea and coffee. Gail was a lovely hostess and made us feel very welcome. We stayed in the accessible room, with a wet room, towels and toiletries provided. There was a hairdryer to use, as well as a TV in the bedroom. Our room was just right, cosy, with an extremely comfortable bed. After our four-hour journey to Brecon, it was great to have tea and coffee making facilities, and Gail brought cold milk in a small thermos flask. The ring binder had all the details we needed for getting around and making the most of our short stay, along with a fascinating little history of the building. A friendly, welcoming guest house. I can highly recommend it.
