Sarah deserves her own mention. She was cheerful and welcoming at breakfast, and somehow ready to help even when guests were still wandering around half awake. The rest of the staff were just as friendly, even with our serious questions about breakfast hours and how long you can stay in the hot tub before it gets awkward. The gym is small but does the job. I had my usual brief burst of motivation about exercising every morning, then remembered breakfast was downstairs. The hot tub was great for relaxing, and after a while I felt like I’d joined a Brentwood neighbourhood WhatsApp group through all the local gossip. Our room was genuinely spotless. I even checked the kettle and lifted the corner of the duvet, and both passed inspection. A great stay, and I’d happily come back, partly to hear the next chapter of Brentwood: The Hot Tub Chronicles.

The public areas have been recently remodelled, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good value, with both a full breakfast and continental choices. We also found the location convenient, just off the motorway and close to Brentwood town centre. It seems the best option around Brentwood, Upminster, and Shenfield. Our room was clean, a good size, and well appointed. We had a super king bed that was comfortable and supportive. The rooms are comfortable, though not luxurious, which is why I gave them 4 out of 5.

I keep coming back to the Holiday Inn at Brentwood for a reason. The staff are brilliant and the service is the best. Sarah is especially friendly and welcoming when I’m there for breakfast. The rooms are great too. The gym is small but has something for everyone, and the Peloton bike is a nice bonus! 🚴♂️

The only thing that bothered us was the parking charge. On-site parking is convenient, but the daily price seemed high compared with similar hotels nearby, especially for a stay of more than one night. Everything else made for a really good stay. The room was clean, comfortable, and well presented, with fresh towels, toiletries, and a good range of tea and coffee. Breakfast had plenty of choice and the restaurant service was quick and organised. The hotel felt calm and pleasant after a busy day. The staff were welcoming and efficient from arrival. Check-in was easy, and reception were happy to answer questions and suggest places to eat and visit locally. They went out of their way to make guests feel looked after. I’d stay again for the comfort and service, though I do wish parking cost less.

The room AC gave us trouble, but the staff dealt with it straight away and offered a thoughtful gesture. That response made it clear they cared about our stay. Breakfast was a highlight. Chef Jee made fresh, tasty food each morning, and his take on the classic omelette became my favourite. I was there for a few days and enjoyed the visit. The nice scent at the entrance made a welcoming first impression, and everyone I met, from reception to housekeeping, was friendly and made things feel personal. I’d definitely recommend it for the warm atmosphere, service, and food.
