The vegan breakfast was delicious, and such a welcome treat when I'd worried there might not be many vegan options. Andy and Maria were lovely hosts, friendly, helpful and accommodating. I was in town for work, but Stoneway Guest house also gave me a comfortable base for exploring Bridgnorth. I loved its history and quirks, and the location is a history lover's dream. The guest house sits by a gorgeous stairwell that feels straight out of a fantasy story. It links Low Town and High Town, and reminded me of the pretty parts of Old Town Edinburgh. Theatre On The Steps is halfway up, just a minute or two away, with a variety of stage and music performances. There was plenty to see within a 10-minute walk, so it made an ideal base. I also had a perfect view of the Railway right outside my room. It wasn't noisy enough to wake me, and it closes at 6pm, so it didn't keep me up either. The room was very comfortable, though it had a slightly dusty smell. I got used to it within a few hours, and I suppose that's to be expected in such an old building. The WiFi wasn't very stable at times, but my mobile data had a good signal. I was out exploring much of the time anyway, so it didn't become a big issue.

We had an unplanned night away, but the room had everything we needed. The beds were so comfortable and we slept brilliantly, and the rooms were lovely and warm. The kids loved it and wanted to stay another night, maybe it was your breakfast, Tracy! Breakfast was lush and kept us going most of the day, and the price was very reasonable. The owners were fantastic, welcoming and lovely to talk to. I'd definitely recommend the hotel and stay again.

We paid £75 a night for the family room. The decor was a little dated, but we had a very pleasant stay and got a friendly welcome from the owners, especially their resident dog, who's an absolute beauty. Social distancing measures were all in place and followed. The location is handy for both the lower and upper town, and we'd stay again. Thanks for the hospitality.

Breakfast was outstanding, especially the amazing homemade bread and full English. Nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the location was great. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely return 😀😀👍

The rooms are fairly basic, but the owners couldn't be nicer and the welcome was incredibly warm. Breakfast was cooked just right, and it's a brilliant base for exploring. Thanks so much, Stoneway!
