The room was very large, with a great mattress and a choice of pillows. The radiator knob made it easy to control the heating straight away. The owners were pleasant, personable and accommodating, and the bar staff were friendly too. The food was really good. The bathroom let the room down. The sink and shower had low pressure, while the bath taps had high pressure, and it could do with a more modern revamp. There was also a noise, possibly from a boiler outside below the room, that made it hard to sleep from around 5 in the morning.

This was our second stay in three years, using the pub as a base for a short golfing trip. It's in a great location, and the food was excellent. The staff made us feel so welcome, especially Richard and Steph. The pub is honestly one of my favourites of all time. Thanks for having us, John, Norma and everyone. Can't wait to visit again.

We stayed one night and had a lovely meal on Saturday evening, with live 60s music and a great atmosphere. Norma and John were friendly, lovely hosts, and everyone else was welcoming too. Our waiter was a lovely young lad. Norma cooked our breakfast to perfection, and it was delicious. Thanks to everyone for making our one-night stay so memorable.

The restaurant servings were generous, and everything we ate was delicious. Breakfast had plenty of good options too. We really enjoyed our recent stay, especially the friendly, accommodating staff, and would happily come back.
