The garden leads straight to the river bank, so you can take leisurely walks. Ken and Katherine are friendly, welcoming owners. The ground-floor one-bedroom flat is spacious, bright and spotlessly clean, with everything supplied: washing machine, cooker, fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle, pots and pans, crockery and cutlery. I'd definitely recommend a visit.

There are some nice dog walks right from the door, and the accommodation is clean and comfortable. The rooms are a little dark because of the location, but they're well equipped and pleasant to spend time in. A twenty-minute walk to the Mump is a must, which is handy since it's about the only highlight Burrowbridge has to offer.

We spent three nights last week in Hectors Barn and it was fabulous. The apartment had all mod cons and was very comfortable. There were great views over the River Parrett and Burrow Mump, and the off-road parking was a real plus.

I'm here now and really enjoying the experience. The Somerset countryside and hospitality are wonderful. Don't hesitate to book.
