Rick was a great help when I lost my room key. He told me not to worry and suggested getting a spare cut as the cheapest option, which took a weight off my mind since I’d expected a big charge. He was always smiling and friendly. My partner and I booked this B&B for a last-minute three-day getaway. The room on the top floor was immaculate and cosy, with a really comfortable bed, a small TV for evenings and a fan for hot days. The place was clean and tidy, and the staff kindly offered to help with our bags. The beach is very close, and there’s a high street with cafes and restaurants around the corner. We arrived early and called the numbers on the little sign by the door to ask for a parking permit while waiting for the room. Parking was £10 per 24 hours, £30 for three days, which is a good deal considering how difficult parking is in Brighton. Thanks for the stay :)

The beds were clean and comfortable, and the service was friendly. Staff even offered to carry our bags up to the top floor. The location is perfect, close to everything, and the rooms felt cosy. But they needed a much better clean: there was dust, mould on the bathroom ceiling, orange shower grout, dirty carpets and stained towels. We bought our own towels. Breakfast wasn’t available, so I can’t comment on it. The room is very expensive for what it is.

The owners are really nice and polite, and clearly care about whether guests are happy. The building is lovely, and our room was clean, modern and well laid out. We hadn’t tried breakfast yet, but for the price, it seemed hard to beat. When we came back, we found a note from one of the team saying she’d put the drinks we’d left in the sink into buckets to keep them cool, so we could use the sink. That’s customer service at its best. Such genuinely sweet people.

The hosts were quick to respond to requests. We asked for extra butter one morning and they brought it without us having to ask again on later mornings. They remembered our breakfast order too, and checked each day whether we wanted the same: bacon, sausage, egg, tomato, mushrooms, beans, toast and jam, with tea or coffee. There was plenty of tea and coffee in the room, and the daily cleaning was excellent. They folded clothes we’d left out and put our pyjamas on the bed. Our room was clean, with a nice bed and good en-suite shower, though it had no view. The location near the pier was good, and there’s lots to do in Brighton. A really good stay, we’d recommend it and return.

Rick was friendly and quick to help after we had to call the receptionist several times just to get into the building. Check-in was a bit of a hassle. The hotel is on a street opposite the beach, so the location couldn’t be better. Our room was modern and comfortable, with good beds, though the shower sometimes switched between hot and cold water, which was a bit unpleasant.
