We really liked the privacy and the huge garden, with only sheep and horses nearby. The cottage worked well as a family base for the coast, Bala lake, Karting and Betws y coed. It looks compact when you first walk in and can see the rooms, but it doesn’t feel cramped. The bedrooms are a good size, including the upstairs double, and the games room is especially spacious and bright. Just be ready for the winding steps from the road, where you park. We were fine with the climb and enjoyed the exercise.

We spent 5days here and loved the cottage and its setting, with trees, fields and cosy evenings all around. It was a lovely place to switch off from the Covid madness. One thing to watch: the slate steps from the road can be really dangerous when wet. Hold the hand rail.

A cosy, clean cottage set away from the main road. We also used the free gym, sauna and swimming pool, about 3 miles away.

The cottage is comfortable and very well looked after. I’d gladly book it again.

Clean and comfortable, with a games room as a nice extra. A great holiday cottage.
