Oliver made our wedding reception even more memorable. He was professional, attentive, and clearly cared about making the evening special. He was warm and friendly, and we couldn't have asked for a better server. The next morning, when he spotted us in the breakfast queue, he offered us a table in the quieter area where he was working. Thank you, Oliver, for adding so much to our perfect day. Melissa was fantastic throughout the planning and right up to our departure. We had hoped to decorate the champagne bar the night before, but a last minute booking meant we couldn't get in. Melissa decorated it herself on our wedding morning and brought our vision to life beautifully. We got married at the Lygon Arms last weekend and had an absolutely phenomenal experience. We're hoping to return for our first anniversary and see Melissa and Oliver again.

We didn't stay overnight this time, so I can't comment on the rooms. We stopped for coffee at lunchtime and had dinner in the evening. The building is a gorgeous 14th-century coaching house, large, full of little corners, and very welcoming. Dinner was lovely, though the food wasn't very hot. We were glad to eat in the quieter champagne bar. Service was great, and we'd definitely come back. Highly recommended.

Oliver was a highlight of our wedding evening. He was warm, attentive, professional, and hilariously full of personality. Our guests were wowed by him and kept talking about how much he added to the atmosphere and to their experience. Nothing seemed too much trouble for him. Melissa was fantastic from beginning to end. Her support, organisation, and attention to detail meant a lot to us, and we really appreciate all the work she did behind the scenes. We felt looked after throughout, and she helped make the day special. The whole team at the Lygon Arms helped create a perfect wedding and memories we'll treasure forever. We couldn't have asked for a better experience.

The place has a remarkable history and a fantastic location, but the food and service let the stay down. At breakfast, we had to try four times to order coffee, and the food arrived cold. We were seated by an open, roaring fire for breakfast and dinner, which was far too hot for a meal. The glasses at the bar smelled as if the dishwasher hadn't been cleaned. At £300+ a night, attention to detail matters, and it was lacking. Service felt as tired as the decor. The prices are five-star, but the experience was three-star. There are better places to stay in the Cotswolds.

I stopped at The Lygon Arms in Broadway for a birthday drink, and the bill really shocked me: £63 for two drinks and a bottle of water, including £25 for a large glass of red wine. That feels excessive, not premium. The service, presentation, and experience did nothing to justify those prices, and it took the pleasure out of what should have been a nice celebration. The building and setting are charming, but the prices seemed opportunistic rather than tied to the quality. A luxurious venue can still charge reasonably. This went too far.
