I'm furious about this. My aunt paid £75 for a twin room with an en suite at the Rosemount Hotel in Buckie for her brother and nephew, so they could attend a family funeral. One of them had to cancel at the last minute, leaving just one person staying. I’ve since learned that what they call an en suite was a washbasin in the room, with the bathroom down the hall. There were two dressing gowns in the wardrobe, in case that was any consolation. Because he arrived late, they charged him another £25 at checkout. When I phoned to complain, they said the fee for arrivals after 9pm was in the website T&Cs and basically told me that was tough. I booked by phone, not online, and nobody mentioned an extra charge. We feel completely ripped off. £100 is far too much for one night. It’s not just about the money, we hate being treated like fools and dealing with greedy people. I won’t recommend the Rosemount or give them any more business. If you’re ever in Buckie, now you know what the Rosemount is like. Disgusted and disappointed.

Ellen & Andy, thanks again! I still remember how warmly the owners welcomed us, how spotless the whole place was, and how welcoming the bathroom felt. The homemade food was exquisite too. It felt more like home than a B&B. An amazing experience, and I’ll definitely be back again and again. Highly recommended!

Lorraine was a thoughtful host, leaving little local treats in the fridge and cupboard. The apartment is huge, with one room we never even used, and the boys, aged 10 and 11, loved both the fuss ball table and the wild coastline. Bucket wasn't our first choice because we wanted to be closer to collude, but it turned out to be ideally placed for lots of spots, including the wildlife dolphin reserve, aberdeen, duff town distilleries and coludden. Lovely spot and great accommodations.

What a fantastic stay. The room was beautiful, and breakfast looked so good it made you want to dig right in. The owner told me you eat with your eyes. Hope my second night is just as good xxx

Ellen and Andy run a real little gem of a B&B. The rooms are clean, modern and nice, and the location is great. The people in charge are friendly, pleasant and accommodating, and the food is great too.
