Breakfast is served in the dining room, so at first it can be a surprise to find yourself sitting with strangers. But it’s actually lovely to start the day swapping notes with other guests about things to see locally. The couple who run the place go out of their way to make sure you have a pleasant stay.

Linda and Richard are lovely hosts. The room was clean and comfortable, and breakfast was fab. It’s good value for a B&B near the National Memorial Arboretum. You stay in a separate building away from the main residence, with a key, so you can come and go easily.

A warm welcome, a comfortable room, and a lovely breakfast. Lovely place, and I’ll stay there again.

The room was very clean, though smaller than I expected. Breakfast is really only for people who enjoy chatting with others.
