We left after an hour because we didn't want to sleep there, and they refused a refund. We booked it for our 10yr wedding anniversary and would rather have gone home. The hot tub was in the main house garden with no privacy, which was a mess of kids' toys and builders' materials. The bathroom was mouldy, the shower tiny and full of limescale. The cooker was disgusting, the kettle rusty, and the road noise ridiculous. Dust was so thick around the tiny old TV.

The lodge was very clean and had good cooking facilities. The lady we spoke to on arrival was really helpful. We stayed at the tollgate lodge and would highly recommend it. It's only 5 miles from bury saint edmunds town centre.

A really welcoming place, with a great little apartment. Excellent stay, and I'll definitely come back!
