The owners were welcoming and accommodating without hovering. They’ll help if you need something, but they also leave you free to unwind after a long ride. The Ashleigh is a great base for a motorcycle trip, with excellent riding routes around Buxton, Macclesfield, Snake Pass, Winnats Pass and the surrounding countryside. It’s also only a stone’s throw from the Cat and Fiddle, with some of the Peak District’s best biking roads nearby. The rooms are clean, quiet and comfortable. It’s self catering, but several excellent restaurants are a very short walk away. There’s secure parking for motorbikes, and possibly access to a secure garage too, which gives real peace of mind when travelling with your bike. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend to anyone touring the Peaks on two wheels.

The location is a real plus, right in the heart of Buxton and within a short walk of the shops, restaurants and attractions. The staff were friendly and accommodating, with warm hospitality from the moment we arrived. Ashleigh Buxton is a self-catering hotel in a charming historic building, and the care put into the renovation shows as soon as you step inside. The décor mixes modern amenities with traditional charm, and the stylish apartments are spacious, well equipped and inviting. I recently stayed at the newly restored property and found it a delightful experience. I’d highly recommend Ashleigh Buxton for a comfortable stay in Buxton, with lovely accommodation, good service and a convenient base for exploring the area.

The continental breakfast had plenty of quality options to choose from, and I preferred it to any fry-up. The hosts were courteous and accommodating. We booked the master bedroom, and it felt worth every penny: it was spacious, faced south and had lots of natural light. The furniture, bedding and toiletries were all high quality, and the whole place smelled fantastic. It’s the most beautiful B&B I’ve ever stayed in, with sublime decor.
