The roast tasted just like a proper homemade Sunday dinner, made with care, and every bit of it was delicious. We thought it was the best Sunday roast I’ve ever had. The team were polite and attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcome. It’s a cosy place to relax, with lovely lighting and beautiful decor. Thanks to everyone for making our visit so enjoyable. I’d highly recommend going.

Brandon and Matteo were flexible and understanding about my needs following dental surgery, and I really appreciated their care with the menu. They’re incredible owners, with faultless attention to detail. The rooms are warm and tastefully decorated, with extras like toffees and biscuits that my husband enjoyed. Breakfast in the adjoining Duchess Lounge was great and set us up for the day. It’s a real gem in a beautiful location, with locally sourced produce where possible and a seasonal menu. We had a very enjoyable stay and received exceptional hospitality. We’ll bring friends or family next time.

We love The Duke and come here often, but this Sunday roast was so good we had to write about it. The roast pork with crackling was one of the nicest meals we’ve had out in years, with generous portions and fantastic flavour. As a coeliac, I feel safe here because Matteo and Brandon understand how important allergies are. Service is always great, which was no surprise, and the packed restaurant said plenty on its own. Thanks again, Brandon and Matteo, for being our favourite place to eat out.

A few people recommended The Duke, and lunch with friends lived up to it. We all said we’d happily order our dishes again. The food was tasty and nicely presented, and the service was attentive without hovering. I recommend this restaurant.
