I was very satisfied with my one-night stay at The Regent Aparthotel in Cambridge. The staff were extremely friendly and courteous, and the clean, well-kept lobby and seating areas were beautifully decorated for Christmas, making for a pleasant atmosphere. My room on the second floor was very clean and comfortably warm. Breakfast was perfect, especially the croissants, which were still warm. I drove and parked in a nearby garage without any problems. The main drawback was the noise. My room faced the street on the second floor, and I could hear traffic and people outside quite clearly because the windows weren't well insulated. I could also hear the next-door door opening and closing. If you're sensitive to noise, earplugs are a good idea. Otherwise, it was a very good stay, especially for a short visit to Cambridge.

The staff were professional, friendly, and ready to help, and the location is hard to fault: Lion Yard is about a ten-minute walk away, there are plenty of restaurants on the main street, and some rooms look out toward the pleasant green space at Parker’s Piece. The room itself felt too small for a business stay. There’s no proper desk, just a little bench for things like the kettle and cups, and it wasn’t comfortable to work at. The bathroom was another problem: the narrow glass by the shower lets water spray across the floor, making it slippery, and there’s nowhere obvious to keep spare towels. Turning on the toilet fan brought a strong bad smell into the room. The ventilation might be installed incorrectly or connected to a shared toilet system in the building, though I can’t say for sure. Breakfast was a very limited continental selection for the hotel’s price. Given the comfort and facilities, it felt too expensive, and I’m unlikely to come back.

The staff really made my stay, especially when I was sick. They were supportive, and that turned it into a top experience. I’ve travelled around the UK and EU during my year doing a master’s, and this hotel compares very well with places I’ve stayed, even bigger names like Novotel and better than mid-range ones such as Holiday Inn. The room had a really large TV, though I didn’t watch it, and a cooking area, though I didn’t cook either. The toilet was clean. Breakfast didn’t offer much choice, but it was decent. I’d keep recommending the place if it stays in this kind of condition.

We were very satisfied with our stay. The kitchen and living room were roomy and well equipped, which gave the whole family space to spend time together. The bedrooms were smaller, but set apart from those shared areas, so people could rest without being disturbed by everyone socializing. The location was excellent, close to the college, the large meadow, and lots of restaurants. It was also a little over ten minutes on foot from the train station. The room fan was rather small, and with the window shut, a small fan to improve ventilation would have helped.

The rooms were really clean and had everything I needed. Check-in details were simple and clear, and the staff were kind and helpful. I also loved the breakfast room, with its park view, good food, and great coffee. I had a great stay at the Regent Aparthotel. Thank you!
