We had a lovely Christmas at Sunnybanks. It was quiet and set in a lovely spot, and there were plenty of pots, pans, crockery and glasses. The dishwasher was a real help, even on Christmas Day. Our dog loved having room to run around in the exercise area. The welcome was lovely. When we couldn't get the heating and water working properly, Simone came over and arranged for the maintenance man to look at it the next day. We also visited Boscastle, Crackington Haven, Port Isaac and Tintegel. I couldn't manage the walk to the Castle, and the shuttle bus wasn't running at full capacity that day, but we enjoyed coffee and toasted tea in the tearoom opposite. My only small gripes were the lack of bathroom hooks for robes and the 10am departure routine. Having to strip the beds, bag the towels and linen and leave them outside, then clean the bathroom and kitchen surfaces, left me exhausted by the time we got to the car. Unfortunately, I had an arthritis flare-up the next day. Even so, we had a wonderful time and would love to come back in warmer weather.

The Serenity lodge is awesome, so cosy and comfortable. Simone is a wonderful host, and we can't recommend her lodges enough. We'd certainly stay here again if we came this way.

We love coming here, this was our second year. It's peaceful and well placed for fishing, with the sea only a few minutes away. A great base for exploring north Cornwall, though staying in and relaxing is lovely too.

The lake wildlife is well worth a walk around, whether or not you fish. We also found plenty to enjoy on site, from the games room, which the kids and parents liked, to the bar with its nice atmosphere, friendly staff and good value food. The quiet setting suited us. This isn't a noisy, tasteless big park packed with hundreds of people, so it may not be for you if that's what you're after. The Summer House really is luxurious and well equipped. We've stayed in places that call themselves luxury when they aren't, but this one lives up to it. The saltwater pool is a good size and kept at a steady 30 degrees. It's open 9am to 8pm Monday to Friday and 10am to 8pm on weekends. We mostly had it to ourselves, and even at busier times there were maybe four other people. Our youngest daughter was especially taken with the resident hedgehog in the nearby hedge. Most of the well-known tourist spots in this part of Cornwall are between a half-hour and an hour's drive away. The park and facilities were fantastic, and we had a relaxing holiday. We'd had a lovely stay and will definitely be back.

The owners were great at keeping in touch, with quick replies and lots of useful information. They'd left a card and treats for our dog, along with bowls and poop bags, and we were also welcomed with delicious scones and jams. The lodge was spacious and fully equipped, with stunning views. It's a peaceful site in a perfect location, and we loved the lakes. We'd definitely love to visit again soon. Thank you so much for our stay xx
