Holiday Inn Express Swindon - West by IHG

There’s plenty of parking, including disabled spaces, and the hotel is dog friendly. Our room was clean, with climate control, and stayed very quiet even though it’s close to the M4. The beds were comfortable and we slept well. Staff were friendly and helpful, with no complaints from us. It’s a Holiday Inn Express, relatively cheap and good at what it offers.

The staff were brilliant, and I’ll use the hotel again. I was surprised how nice it was: clean, quiet rooms, firm beds, working aircon and heating, and a bar open all night. Parking was free, breakfast was very nice, and the bathroom and shower were clean and tidy, with no leaks or stains.

Breakfast was hot, fresh and all available, with plenty of seats. We got a quiet top-floor room near the end of the hotel, and the welcome was good. It was half full when we arrived, with 120 rooms. Just off the M4 at Swindon West, the hotel has plenty of free parking, but remember to register your number plate on the tablet at reception. The room was okay, dated but efficient as standard HI. Aircon, TV and shower all worked, though the bed was very firm. I found human hair shavings gathered in a bathroom corner. I asked reception if there were any cleaners, and was told there weren't, but she'd sort it. When we came back from dinner, the mess was still there, so I cleaned it up myself.

Free parking and a clean room with air con made for an easy stay. Staff were friendly, and check-in was quick. Breakfast is fairly basic but has what you need. Follow Google maps or the street signs to find the hotel, as you can't turn straight in at the first set of lights off the motorway.
