Nancy, the lady of the house, was very helpful and cooked excellent evening meals. The manor was comfortable and made for a memorable stay, with a lovely setting on the edge of the downs. It's a great base for hill walking, and Barbury Castle, Avebury stone circle, Little cote House, and the Ramsbury Brewery are all nearby.

Nancy and her team made our two-day writing retreat at Overtown Manor feel welcoming from the start. They were warm, attentive, and clearly cared about making the event go well. The manor is beautifully presented, surrounded by lovely countryside, and has comfortable spaces that worked well for focused sessions and relaxed time together. There were also spacious bedrooms for our overnight stay. Homemade food was excellent, and the hospitality throughout was outstanding. Its central location and good travel options helped attendees coming from different places. Many thanks for hosting us. We hope to return soon.

There were 16 of us at Overtown Manor, ranging in age from 8 to 88, for a family weekend birthday surprise. Every person thought it was perfect, and none of us wanted to leave. I'd visited several times during the week and loved it, which is why my family chose it, but the weekend exceeded even my high expectations. Nancy and her team put so much care into the details and made it warm and welcoming. With its history, heritage, and natural beauty, it's a wonderful place to gather with family and friends. And the glorious swinming pool deserves a mention too. I can't recommend it enough.

The pool became the heart of our weekend, with plenty of seating, a bbq, non breakable drink ware, and pool towels. We booked Overtown for a family member's surprise birthday weekend, with the whole family along, and everyone felt at home as soon as we arrived. There were thoughtful touches like local bread, butter, milk, and homemade flapjacks. The building and surrounding farm are wonderful, and the accommodation feels both welcoming and luxurious. Nancy communicated brilliantly beforehand, even asking what bedding we wanted. It was a very hot weekend, so the beautiful sheets and bedspreads were just right. Honestly, everything had been thought of. We're already working out when to book again. I said it was perfect, and I could go on. 100% recommend a stay here.

The idyllic setting, beautiful rooms, chef-prepared sumptuous food, and exceptional hospitality make Overtown Manor the best place I've ever run retreats. Guests leave feeling spoiled and rejuvenated. I can't recommend Nancy and her team highly enough.
