Jamie cooked a superb breakfast to order, fresh and generous, with portions that were satisfying without being oversized. His warm welcome and local tips made a real difference for our party of four staying in two rooms. The refurbished rooms had tasteful decor, TVs, tea and coffee facilities, and spacious en-suite bathrooms. We loved relaxing in the shared lounge with its triple-aspect windows over the loch. Rosemount Guest House is a charming Georgian villa from 1805, in a quiet spot by the water, about a ten-minute walk from Campbeltown and the harbour. We’d wondered if evening meals would be walkable, but the centre, pubs, restaurants and distilleries are an easy stroll. It felt more like a boutique hotel than a B&B.

The view over the Loch at sunset is special. One evening, the easy-going host and I sat on the grass and tried some whisky we’d bought, watching the sun go down. I was here to play Machrihanish and Dunes courses, both superb and only a short drive away, and it’s also easy to walk into Campbeltown and visit Springbank distillery. A perfect base for that. It’s not for anyone after luxury, but if you like a relaxed, homely feel, it’s definitely for you. Thanks for making my stay so fun. I’ll be back.

The house is beautiful, with a stunning view, and just a short walk from the town centre. Our hosts were welcoming, helpful and pleasant to deal with, and breakfast was delicious and very satisfying. We had a lovely stay at Rosemount Guest House and will certainly return on our next visit to Campbeltown.

The house has an amazing view over the bay and is only a short walk from the middle of town. Our hosts were so kind and welcoming, and we had a wonderful stay. Breakfast was great too.

So peaceful here, and the panoramic view from the doorstep is amazing. We caught an awesome sight above Davaar Island. The house and gardens are beautiful, and our room was spacious with a fantastic bathroom.
