Kate's is such a sweet, comfortable B&B, and staying there was one of the best parts of our trip. After cooking breakfast to order, Kate sat and chatted with us, sharing stories and what she knows about the area. She’s the loveliest host and made us feel at home. We’ll look for this place again if we’re nearby.

The breakfast was great, the bed was comfy, and the prices were very reasonable. It’s also near the city centre and on a direct route to the M6 if you’re heading towards the Lake District. We were travelling with our dog, so it was especially good to find a lovely B&B that welcomes dogs. Highly recommended.

Kate was a friendly, welcoming host and very accommodating, and I found the room really comfortable. The only downside, though it didn’t affect my stay, was that the B&B was a little hard to locate at first, a couple of miles from the city centre.

A last-minute booking saved me from having to travel home. Everyone was so warm and welcoming, thank you so much kate 😘 I’ll definitely be back and would recommend it. Looking forward to breakfast in the morning too 👌 xx

The room was warm and cosy, with tea and coffee facilities, plus a clean en-suite bathroom and shower. Kate welcomed us when we arrived and was lovely. You can tell she’s rightly proud of her guest house. We really enjoyed staying in this great little place, and our privacy was respected.
