Being so close to the best stretch of Hadrian's Wall made this a lovely place to stay. The setting is beautiful, the rooms are lovely, and the huge kitchen had everything we needed. There was even milk and farm eggs waiting for us.

The rooms were much bigger than the pictures suggest, and the cottage itself was spotless. We were greeted by a friendly lady who'd thoughtfully picked up milk and eggs for us. There's a nice pub about half a mile away, roughly a five-minute walk, though the road has no paths and felt a bit sketchy at night with cars speeding past. We'd happily come back, hopefully soon. 5*****
The wet room overflowed into my bedroom the first time I used it, though I managed it better the next time. Aside from that, it was a nice, clean place, and stayed lovely and cool in the excessive weather.
We're here for a week and have had a great stay so far. The surroundings are beautiful, with places like Hadrian's Wall nearby. Our two King Charles spaniels were made very welcome too.
You can see Hadrians wall from the cottage window. It's well placed for visiting Roman sites, and there's a great pub about five minutes away on foot.
