Walters Place

The room was beautifully decorated, and the service, cleanliness, and quality of the accommodation at Walters Place were all excellent. Breakfast the next day was fabulous too. Jack was a wonderful breakfast host, and nothing was too much trouble for him. We'll definitely stay again.

July 2024. Waking up to the sea right from bed was just lovely, and even the photos don't do the view justice. The room has a quiet, luxurious feel, and the bed is wonderfully comfortable. The spacious bathroom also has that luxury feel. Jack, I believe the owner of Ownies, clearly pays close attention to the details. Despite being beside the road, the room was remarkably quiet. I stayed on the weekend and couldn't hear the gastropub downstairs at all. There was an issue with the cold water, which seems unusual since hundreds of other rooms haven't mentioned it. The fire alarm also went off and took a long time to sort out because of another customer, not the hotel. I have to admit both problems made it hard to relax for over two hours, from 8-10:30 am, and I had to skip breakfast because I was rushing before checkout. If they were open to it, I'd appreciate a modest 15-25% discount on a future stay to make up for how those issues affected my enjoyment. This is still an excellent review. Things sometimes go wrong, and the problems weren't Walter's Place's fault. I'd definitely stay again.

We found this lovely B&B online thanks to its good recommendations. Check-in takes place at the pub next door, where you're welcomed. The room was bright, spacious, and very clean, and we loved the shower and bathroom. Breakfast is served in the pub too. The prices are fair and reasonable.

We spent three nights in the Jade room, which worked perfectly for our family of three. It was clean, roomy, comfortable, and well equipped. The location of this B&B is excellent, and breakfast was filling with lots of choice. Thanks to the team at Walter's Place for making our stay so enjoyable.
