Fleur Du Jardin

The room was lovely, but the bathroom’s sliding door didn’t close properly, so there was no privacy and sound carried through. The cozy country pub has a great team of staff, but I found the food poor quality for the price. My steak was only about 6mm thick, more like a flat iron steak, and the meat wasn’t good, so I sent it back. The spinach roulade starter is one to avoid. With so many great restaurants in Guernsey, I won’t be returning. There are better choices.

The building is lovely, the staff are great, and the food was fabulous. Parking was a little tight for such a popular place.

The rooms are roomy and comfortable, and the bar and restaurant have a lovely rustic feel. Staff were very friendly and attentive.

For a relaxed, country-style wedding, Fleur du Jardin has a lovely rustic feel, with bunting, fairy lights, and lawn games on the grass. The restaurant’s low wooden beams and country decor make a cozy, intimate setting for reception photos. I’ve also taken sweet bridal portraits by the old wooden boat feature and fun group shots in the courtyard. As a photographer, I enjoy the farmstead character of this place in the Castel parish. Fleur du Jardin, affectionately known as “Le Fleur”, is in a converted granite barn with a thatched roof, surrounded by fields and country lanes. Weddings here often feel like laid-back garden parties. The staff are friendly, the food is tasty, and people tend to relax and enjoy themselves. Couples who like a boho or country style get an authentic, down-to-earth backdrop that still looks beautiful in pictures.
