GG's Yard

The food throughout our wedding weekend in September was amazing, and all our guests commented on it. Starting the celebrations with a fantastic pre-wedding meal at Gather the night before was perfect. We got to share the excitement with all our nearest and dearest. GG's Yard was an amazing venue, and the whole experience was seamless. The dedicated staff supported us from start to finish and helped with anything and everything, so the celebration felt stress-free and perfectly managed. We couldn’t have asked for a better venue. Five stars for the venue, food and people who made our day perfect.

The food was a real highlight, with generous portions and great quality, and the team handled all our requests so well. Everyone was friendly and made sure we had what we needed throughout the day. The venue itself is purpose-built for weddings, with beautiful Scottish countryside views and a striking mix of traditional stonework and modern touches. On a sunny day, the Irish sea makes an incredible backdrop. We loved it all and wouldn't change a thing. Highly recommend taking a look for your big day.

We still hear from people about how beautiful the venue was and how good the food was, nearly three years later. We had our wedding here in 2022, and it all flowed so smoothly. The setting and views were gorgeous, and the staff were incredible. Jo, our coordinator on the day, was an angel. In the run-up, the team were always helpful by email and phone. On the day, nothing was too much trouble. They even stitched a couple of my bridesmaids into their dresses after a last-minute mishap. We'd absolutely recommend GG's yard to any couple looking for a wedding venue, and hope to come back for a visit this year.

The food and drinks got loads of lovely comments from our guests, and the serving staff helped make everything feel relaxed and welcoming. We felt so well cared for, and we're grateful for how much attention the team put into making our day special. Zoe and Julie, our wedding coordinators, were organised, helpful and calm all the way through. Graham kept things running smoothly behind the bar, and Jackie was so kind and reassuring just before I walked down the aisle. We got married at GGs two weeks ago and couldn't be happier. The whole day went smoothly from start to finish, which takes a lot of work to make feel effortless. We'd absolutely recommend GGs for the beautiful venue and the dedicated team.
