The village is lovely, and the Mariner's setting, with views across the estuary, is idyllic. We came for Sunday lunch with friends and enjoyed the food, the friendly welcome and especially the beer. My sticky toffee pudding did make me wonder if it had been microwaved, which isn't a great sign in a restaurant, but all in all we enjoyed our meal.

The Mariners is a lovely spot for a quiet pint on a rainy afternoon or a refreshing g’n’t when it's sunny. This area is one of our favourite places in the world. Our rooms were spotless and very comfortable, with a great view over the inlet where you can watch the tide come and go. Angela and Dave are wonderful hosts and go above and beyond to make us feel welcome. I'd happily recommend the Mariner.

Those seats looking out over the estuary were a lovely extra. We had a very enjoyable evening meal, with plenty to choose from on both the food and drinks menus. The staff were friendly, and the price was reasonable.
