Oakwrights

We first came to Oakwrights for a wedding and barely had time to enjoy the lovely accommodation, so we booked another visit. The apartment is peaceful, surrounded by countryside, and thoughtfully decorated and equipped. You could cook a full Sunday roast there, and the fresh milk and delicious homemade cake were lovely touches. There are also local leaflets and ideas for walks. Noel and Lorna are so welcoming, as are their gorgeous, friendly dogs, Lady and Oreo. We're already looking forward to a third stay. Thanks, Lorna and Noel.

A lovely find. We stayed at Oakwrights Hall, Lorna and Noel’s Bed & Breakfast, while visiting family, and the countryside setting was peaceful, with fields and wildlife all around. It was still well placed for getting to nearby towns and villages. The hosts made us feel at home straight away, including with a freshly baked cake. The B&B was spotless, comfortable and tastefully decorated, with plenty of thoughtful details. It felt cosy, and we slept well each night and woke refreshed. It really felt like a home away from home. We look forward to coming back on our next trip.

A very clean, well-equipped place, and so quiet and relaxing. Lorna and Noel are friendly, accommodating hosts and an absolute delight. There's a nice pub, Rayleigh arms, just a three-minute walk away. I'd happily stay again, and Squeaky the cat tends to pop by too.

The village was lovely, with The Rayleigh Arms just a couple of minutes away on foot, serving great food and drinks. Lorna's cakes on arrival were divine, especially the Lemon Drizzle. I'd go back just for that! Lorna and Noel were wonderful hosts, and the accommodation was spotless, modern and had everything needed for a few days away. A*** from me!
