James and Veronica made us feel very welcome, and the service and facilities were excellent for a very reasonable price. The spacious rooms are nicely decorated, though this is a private home that takes B&B guests rather than a hotel. Breakfast is shared at one table, which gives guests a chance to meet. One small quirk: the Elgar room's bathroom isn't ensuite.

Veronica and James were so helpful, and the house has plenty of character. Breakfast is freshly cooked with a good choice, and it was nice chatting with the other guests. We stayed in the Elgar Room, which doesn't have an ensuite, but it does have access to a lovely private bathroom. It's close to everything in Cheltenham, and we'd definitely choose it again if we return.

As the owner of Hanover House, I object to Alan Brunwin's review because he has never stayed with us. He has been running an ongoing campaign about standards in sheltered accommodation and has had reservations about the Hanover House Housing Trust in Cheltenham. He seems to have mistakenly attached a review of that organisation to Hanover House B&B, which unfairly reflects on the quality of this establishment. I've tried to contact him so he can withdraw the mistaken review, but haven't been able to reach him. Veronica Ritchie

The hosts were wonderful and the rooms charming. Breakfast was freshly cooked, with everything on the table organic and mostly homemade. I enjoyed chatting with the other guests around the big table in the drawing room. It's only a couple of minutes' walk into town. A super place to stay, well worth a visit.

My friend and I were delighted to meet again after 40 + years in such a lovely setting. The place was charming, spotless and so welcoming. We'll be back next year. Thankyou X
