Breakfast was a relaxed meal in the family home's kitchen, with the hosts preparing any cooked food we asked for and chatting with us. The location was good, about a 20 minute walk from central Cheltenham and 10 minutes from the parks, cafes and restaurants in the Montpellier district. We stayed in the lower ground floor flat, which felt like an above average Airbnb and had everything we needed: tea, coffee and fresh milk, biscuits, a TV, DVD player and DVDs, big squishy chairs and sofa, comfy beds, towels and basic toiletries. It was a comfy, homely set up and a real find. The only downside was the noise from upstairs. It's a busy household, with lots of movement during the day, and we heard something like a washer-dryer running overnight.

Our room was ready earlier than we expected, which was a lovely surprise. Gilly and Hugh made us feel so welcome, and breakfast was delicious and homemade. A charming place for a night in Cheltenham. We couldn't have asked for better.

The centre of Cheltenham is an easy short walk away, and we had a very comfortable bed and a breakfast with lots to choose from. The hosts were lovely too. I'd happily stay again.

We made good use of the beautiful garden, which guests could enjoy whenever they liked. The owners were really friendly and did their best to make our stay enjoyable. We had a lovely time and will definitely return.

I expected Laurel House to be nice, but it turned out to be excellent. The couple who run it are lovely, and the facilities are first rate. It's close enough to walk into the centre, and the beds were lovely. Breakfast was great, there's free wifi, and it was great value too. I can't think of any bad points worth mentioning. Would highly recommend!
