This is a fantastic place to stay with a dog. Ours loved the walks and enclosed area, and the location was brilliant. The lodge was lovely and clean, but we thought it would feel too small for four adults: there’s just one bathroom, nowhere to hang clothes in the second bedroom, and the sofa only seats three, though there was another chair. The restaurant was bright and modern, and our first-night meal was lovely. We were disappointed to find the online breakfast menu wasn’t available until Easter weekend, which should have been explained ahead of time. On our last night we tried to get takeaway, but they could only do pizzas because they had no boxes for other meals. I’d have preferred fish and chips. The lodges sit very close together, so I imagine privacy could be limited in peak season.

The luxury chalet was warm, tidy, very clean and well equipped, with everything we needed for a lovely Easter weekend. We chose a dog-free chalet because we don’t have a dog. I was surprised how well behaved the dogs elsewhere in the park were, and it was very quiet at night with no barking, which I would have expected. We had day trips planned and didn’t use the facilities, but did walk around the park and down to the beach. A very nice stay.

We spent three nights, Friday to Monday in August, with my husband and our two dogs, and had a perfect time. The beach is close and the chalets are spacious. The huge enclosed deck meant the dogs could hang out outside with us without being tethered or getting out. They also had a blast at the agility park. The grounds were beautiful and well kept, and the staff were genuinely lovely. Special thanks to Lorraine and Anthony for making us feel so welcome. We can’t wait to return! ☺️

The pub food was fantastic, and we loved the activities. It was so good we added another night to our booking. It’s a great place for dogs, though I’d have liked a private, secure grassy area instead of decking. Just be aware the shop carries very few supplies, mostly basics.

A peaceful retreat, with a path giving access to the beach and helpful, friendly staff. The clean chalet bungalow seemed newer and updated. There are ponds and little waterways with various ducks around the site. Dogs are well catered for, with beds, bowls and large designated exercise areas. The beds were comfortable, and the towels and linen were clean and white. I can’t wait to go again 😁
