The food was a real highlight, with a good range of meat and fish dishes. Everything we tried was superb, especially the fish with crab orzo. We spent two nights in a standard room, which wasn't huge but was nicely decorated and well kept, with handy extras like a hairdryer, biscuits and shampoo. The shower pressure was fantastic. Staff were friendly and attentive without intruding. The hotel sits beside a beautiful wetland, with a walk to the sea right from the doorstep. The village nearby is peaceful and attractive.

Book ahead, as it's popular for good reason. The location is beautiful, the restaurant has a lovely sense of place, and the space is lovely for a meal. The food was great, service was good and the whole experience relaxing. Veggies, pescatarians and meat eaters all had a good choice and a great meal.

The vegetarian options were great, and the bread was delicious. We had a really special lunch last Thursday. They set up our table under the awning with a heater and screen, and the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. The fish soup, halibut and mullet were outstanding. We'd really recommend the Crab and Lobster.

We treated ourselves to a night at The Crab & Lobster, a cozy, well-kept pub with a lovely dining room and very comfortable rooms. Both dinner and breakfast were excellent, and service was friendly and efficient. It's in a beautiful, peaceful spot right beside Pagham Harbour.
