The owners were very helpful, and the complimentary milk and cookies were a lovely touch. Well Cottage is a fantastic 17th century timber framed building in a quiet, peaceful location near Church Stretton. It’s well placed for sightseeing around Telford, Shrewsbury and the Severn Valley. We had a fantastic stay and will definitely return.

The hosts made the stay feel easy and welcoming, while still giving us plenty of privacy. Thoughtful personal touches and comfortable rooms helped it feel like home. Well Cottage has a lovely storybook feel, with its honey-colored stone, low beams, old AGA and garden. Set among Shropshire’s rolling hills, it was peaceful too, with birdsong in the morning and quiet golden evenings. A charming countryside break.
