The food, friendly service and cosy atmosphere made for a lovely dinner at The Mason Arms last night, and we'd absolutely recommend it. The staff were welcoming and attentive from the moment we arrived, and the place is in a really cute area. My partner had a pint of Wiltshire Gold, and I started with a half pint of cider. I ordered the gluten free Chicken Supreme and appreciated how knowledgeable and accommodating the team was about dietary requirements. It came with sautéed wild mushrooms and smoked bacon sauce, alongside garlic and herb butter new potatoes, and was delicious. My partner's Homemade Signature Steak and Ale Pie was filled with tender braised steak, pearl onions and rich gravy, with roast root vegetables and creamy mashed potato. Proper comfort food done right. We shared the sticky toffee pudding, which was incredibly light and fluffy. For the past few years I've made it a personal goal to try as many gluten free sticky toffee puddings as I can around the UK, and this one is near the top of my list. We'll definitely return.

Valentine's night dinner was superb. The food was excellent quality, beautifully presented, locally sourced and there was plenty to eat. It tasted amazing too. The prices were reasonable for such top-end food. Gastro pubs can overdo the fancy touches and leave you feeling short changed by tiny portions, but that wasn't the case here.

The pub had such a cosy feel, and everyone working there was lovely. We came for our first wedding anniversary and the food was outstanding, especially the pie, probably the best I’ve ever had. Such a beautiful place. Highly recommend!

We had eight of us for Sunday lunch and the staff took great care of us. The meat and vegetables were excellent, the draught beer was good, and it was all good value. Friendly, helpful people, too. This is a pub I can count on for food and service on any occasion, with the standards consistently high. Book ahead, though. Highly recommended.

Kate made our two-night stay especially lovely. She was warm, helpful, and had great suggestions for seeing the Cotswolds, from Bibury and Burford to Bourton on the Water, Fairford church's stained glass windows, Cirencester, and the wider area. The Masons Arms is a great base for exploring. We had dinner there both nights, with lovely food, quick service, and superb beer. Breakfast starts at 8.30am, with a good choice, and the full English was wonderful. The old pub and restaurant are beautiful, the rooms are very nicely presented, clean, and have comfy beds.
