We were in the Angel room at The Counting House from 24 to 28 April, four nights, and would happily return. It was spacious and tidy, with a comfortable double bed and a large, well-arranged bathroom with a shower, sink, and toilet. There was plenty of room for clothes and suitcases, plus a fridge and safe. The air conditioning worked perfectly, and the extra hooks for towels and jackets were a nice touch. The staff welcomed us warmly and explained everything clearly. Housekeeping was excellent, making the bed neatly each day and changing towels when we asked. Breakfast is served in the ground-floor pub, where we were warmly welcomed again. It was generous and really nice, and the setting was great. We also had dinner there twice and enjoyed both meals, and it's a good spot for a drink. The location in the Bank district of London City is a real plus, near St Paul’s Cathedral and the Underground. It was wonderfully quiet at night, and we slept very well. Definitely worth recommending.

We hadn't realized the pub was also a hotel, but stopped in on the off chance they could serve breakfast. They do, and non-residents can eat there too. We tried the full English and avocado on toast. The full English was delicious, with high-quality ingredients, and the avocado was tasty as well, especially with its well-received pesto dressing. It's a historic old bank in a great location, with friendly, helpful staff. Highly recommended for breakfast!

A friendly pub right in the heart of the City, with the well-preserved 19th-century interior of a former bank. They have a good choice of beers and ales, plus pies and other food, including small plates. The tables are comfortable, and service was prompt.

The team made everything feel easy, and the rooms were really comfortable and well equipped. The Counting House is perfectly placed in the centre of things. A fantastic stay, highly recommend it.
