We had a good time when my mum and I stayed there. We arrived around 9:30pm after travelling by coach from South Wales and Victoria coach Station, and the staff kindly waited for us. They were friendly and very helpful. We hope to visit Clacton-on-Sea again and stay there in future.

I got around 20-25 bites in one night in room 25, and the photos showed bed bugs in the bed. I strongly recommend avoiding that room. They moved us to another room quickly, which was good.

The price was great, and the location was really good. The place is very basic and dated, but it suited the price. Staff were exceptional, especially Ian, who couldn't have been more helpful.

All night there were doors slamming, and music could be heard until silly o'clock in the morning. The beds creak and aren't comfortable, the headboards aren't attached, and the shower and tap pressure was awful.

I stayed last year, and it was a big mistake. The place was dirty and noisy, reception was ignorant, and the cleaning staff were unhelpful. I even had to argue to get more shower gel, tea and coffee. Don't go there.
