Maison Talbooth

The setting is lovely, with idyllic scenery, a quaint feel, and easy access from the A12. But the visit itself didn't meet expectations, and I'll probably book my next treatment somewhere else. My husband had arranged an à la carte full body massage and facial. I arrived 5-10 minutes early as requested, but there was no greeting until I announced myself. Even then, the welcome felt flat. The therapist was skilled and professional, though very matter of fact. The clean treatment room was what I'd expect for the price, but the massage bed wasn't as plush as at other spas of this level, and I felt a little cold during the treatment. Afterwards, the therapist left my water on the reception table and disappeared. There was no aftercare, and I had to ask about the spa and other services, including the outdoor hot tub and pool. I don't expect anyone to upsell me, but a simple question about how the massage was would've been nice. If you want a clean place where nobody talks to you, this is the spot.

My daughter and her new husband celebrated their wedding here, and we had the entire hotel to ourselves for the wedding party. Every part of the weekend was outstanding. The rooms, food, and attentive, helpful staff were all wonderful. None of the guests will forget it. Thank you so much! 🥰

Staying at the spa hotel is pure relaxation. The staff are so friendly and welcoming, and nothing is too much trouble. Being chauffeured to the restaurants was a lovely touch. We love the place so much that we've already booked another stay for March.

Talbooth is known for its luxury accommodation, delicious food, and exceptional service. What stands out most to me is that the company never seems greedy. They make an effort to go the extra mile without adding to the cost at every turn, and often give back in small but lovely ways. It's a rare and wonderful way to do business.
