Spanhoe Lodge - B&B

We had a lovely Saturday night at Spanhoe Lodge. The hosts were friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Our room was comfortable and clean, with a lovely shower and great products. Breakfast was delicious and home cooked. We’ll definitely be back.

Three of us have just been for a delicious afternoon tea. Everything tasted really fresh, the staff were very friendly, and the service was great. It’s one of the best afternoon teas I’ve had.

There were some nice things in the room, like chocolates by the bed and milk in the fridge, and the swimming pool had pleasant seating around it. But the room was infested with bugs. They came out in the evening and crawled over the floor, walls, skirting board, furniture, bedside table, and bed. The room connects to others, so I’d worry they might have the same problem. It’s a shame, because the pool was nice, though you can buy day passes for it. I ended up checking out and leaving late at night.

The staff were so helpful, the rooms clean and tidy, with lots of thoughtful touches, and all the food was home cooked and really filling. There’s a lovely range of seating outside around the pool too. WELL DONE TEAM SPANHOE. Thanks for an amazing weekend, we’ll be back!
