Coach House Boutique B&B

We wanted to see some of Northern Ireland's interior as well as the coast, so we chose The Coach House between Belfast International and Derry. After arriving in Belfast on a red-eye, we also wanted somewhere that wouldn't mean travelling too far. Andrew showed us around the main house, described the original artwork and furnishings, and we felt like we were in one of the Queen's holiday homes. It's a carefully designed Irish Georgian-style home, built about ten years ago, with period antiques; the grounds and furnishings are clearly done without sparing expense. The family lives in the main house, which looks like a well-kept vintage home. Our room was in the newer Carriage House, styled to match, large and furnished with genuine antiques. The bathroom is modern, while the shower fittings are replicas of an antique setup. Ask Andrew about them. Sharon was accommodating about our special requests before arrival, and after a few emails we felt like old friends. Sharon and Andrew were truly amazing hosts. Fresh scones, real coffee, not that Cafe Americano stuff, and local strawberries were delicious and very welcome. Other reviews have said plenty about breakfast, so I'll just say it was the best B and B breakfast we've enjoyed. We've travelled widely across many countries and US states, and this was the best stay we've ever had, at any price. You simply can't go wrong staying at The Coach House.
