Cricklade House Hotel, Sure Hotel Collection by Best Western

We first stayed here two years ago, and were glad to find the same warm, welcoming feel on our second visit. The food was very nice, and the setting and facilities are lovely. The pool was kept at a family friendly temperature, and we could take turns using the steam room or sauna beside it, so everyone still got time to relax. The staff were kind all around. Geveena was particularly thoughtful about looking after our children. It was another wonderful visit, and we’ll be back.

The location is stunning, and we had a lovely stay. The food was very good and excellent value for money. Everyone on staff was friendly and willing to help, and Geveena deserves a special thank you for making the visit extra special. A few of the room fittings looked a bit tired and could use a refresh, but only a very slight concern.

We’ve already booked again for next September 2026. It’s a relaxing historic hotel set in lovely grounds, and a great base for travelling around the local area. Everyone we met was helpful and friendly, from the housekeeper and receptionist to the waiting and bar staff. Special thanks to Dion, Ollie and Matilda, and to Geveena, who was a little star at breakfast. There were other good staff members too, but we didn’t catch all their names. Highly recommend.

The staff were what stood out most, friendly and attentive from start to finish. We enjoyed a couple of rounds of disc golf, then unwound in the comfortable bar. The meal was excellent, well cooked and nicely presented, and the relaxed, welcoming atmosphere made it even better. A lovely spot for a meal and some leisure time. We’d happily return and recommend it.
