Ian looked after us so well, checking that everything was right and being friendly and attentive. The pub feels welcoming and homely, with plenty of character and lovely Christmas decorations. Our meal today was lovely, thanks, Ian. It’s relaxing, welcomes dogs, and the other customers were friendly too. Couldn’t ask for more. See you soon. Dawn & Mike Abergorlech

The generous portions were a real highlight, and the food was very, very good. I usually drink stout, but I really enjoyed the local beer too. Everyone made us feel welcome, from the local people to the staff. Thanks to Ian and the locals for such a friendly visit. This is a great example of how to run a pub.

A cosy little place with different kinds of seating, a good range of ciders, local ale on tap and other lagers. It has a great reputation for its Sunday carvery, though check before heading over as opening times and food service can vary. A real gem.

We come here for Sunday lunch fairly often, and the carvery is so popular that booking ahead is important if you want a table. The food is very good and the staff are friendly. They also have rooms, making this a handy starting point for exploring Wales. It’s tucked away in the countryside, a good spot for a rural break, with plenty to do nearby if you enjoy the outdoors.

Ian is a wonderful landlord, and this is a lovely, cosy village pub. The kitchen was being renovated during our visit, so no food was available and I can’t comment on it. Still, highly recommended.
