The views and gardens were what caught our attention first, especially the birds and lovely trees. We were welcomed warmly and shown to a comfortable apartment, with cosy beds and good heating for the snowy mountain weather. Dinner at the restaurant was tasty and well priced, and we had a friendly time in the pub too. The Ardbrecknish staff knew the area well and gave us useful ideas for things to do. I’d happily come back to this lovely B&B.

The walk down to the marina was lovely, and the benches there are a great place to sit with tea or a glass of wine and enjoy the view. We stayed in the Summer Wing and had a really nice time. Sarah, the owner, was warm and friendly, always happy to go the extra mile. The bedding was clean, crisp and comfortable, and the heating kept us cosy. There were plenty of TV channels too. We loved staying here and would absolutely recommend it.

The Nursery was spacious and airy, while still feeling cosy, and it had everything we needed. The bed and bedding were especially comfortable. Our labrador loved the attention and treats, and the locals we met were friendly too. It’s a short walk to Loch Awe, with beautiful scenery all around. We didn’t eat at the restaurant, though the menu looked good, and the bar was well stocked with very reasonable prices. Sarah and Jon seem to have thought of everything for a self-catering stay. We had a great holiday in this lovely historic house, especially suited to anyone who likes fishing.

We found it so peaceful in the middle of September. Our hosts were lovely and showed us around the ground-floor flat in the tower. There’s a pleasant walk to the shores of Loch Awe, with stunning views across the surrounding countryside.

We dropped in by chance to see what was on offer and ended up having really tasty food at a great price. The host and chef were welcoming, and we met some lovely locals as well. You can dine in, and I understand takeaway is available too. I’d recommend stopping here if you’re in the area.
