Orchy Bank House

The peaceful location does mean you’ll need to drive somewhere for dinner, but the quiet nearby more than balanced that for us. Our host was attentive and caring, with plenty of suggestions for things to see and do. Breakfast the next morning was fantastic. Orchy Bank House has the charm of an older building outside, but inside it’s been fully renovated with modern comforts and warmth. We had a spacious room, a lovely bathroom and a comfortable bed. Over morning coffee, we could watch ducks in the garden. It may be the best B&B we’ve ever stayed in. We highly recommend it and will return.

The ducks on the pond were a lovely touch, and the view was beautiful. I’d highly recommend this place. The room and service were great, and breakfast was the best Scottish breakfast I had on the whole trip.

The river setting was a highlight, and we liked having the living room where we could play cards. Breakfast had tasty hot dishes with a good range to choose from, and the hosts were friendly. The room was comfortable, and both the home and its surroundings were beautiful. We had a really lovely stay.

The house is a short walk from Dalmally Station, which suited us well since we were using public transport. Oban is also easy to reach by train, and there are lovely walks nearby. Melinda took great care of us and gave us excellent recommendations. We stayed only one night at Orchy Bank House but already hope to return, and we’ll miss it until then. Our room was well equipped and very clean. Breakfast was delicious, and watching the busy bird feeder from the breakfast room was a treat. We were lucky enough to spot a red squirrel too.
