The cooked breakfast was fantastic, and we had a spacious, clean room with tea and coffee, a microwave and a fridge. TJ welcomed us warmly when we arrived for our night away, and had thought of everything we might need. Nothing was too much trouble. My husband and I have just got back, and we'd happily recommend staying here. We'll return when we're in Dawlish again.

The breakfast was first class, with cereals and a full English, and the owner was very friendly, attentive and respectful of our privacy. The place is clean throughout, with contemporary furnishings, a comfy bed and a sea view. It was silent and completely dark at night. There's also off-road parking and free, strong WiFi. It's dog and child friendly, and there are dog bowls and a blanket. Our room had a double bed, a single bed, a sofa and a bathroom, plus lots of extras: Sky, a microwave, hairdryer, tea and coffee, and a travel cot. There are steps up to the house and again to the room. The bathroom has a bath but no shower, which didn't bother us. Excellent value.

The parking right outside was a bonus, and the location made it easy to get into town or head out on the coastal walks. TJ gave us a very warm welcome. The room was huge and comfortable, with a microwave and fridge among the thoughtful extras. Breakfast was excellent.

The room was lovely and we couldn't have been happier at The Hideaway. It's a great base for visiting places around Devon, and TJ made us feel so welcome. Probably the friendliest stay we've had.

We've never had hospitality like this before, and I'd definitely recommend it. It's a peaceful, quiet place, very clean, with comfortable beds and good WiFi. Pets are welcome too, and the town centre is very close.
