The Coach House gave us a wonderful family holiday. There was loads of room and the facilities were great: well stocked kitchen cupboards, two fridge freezers, a washing machine, a dishwasher and FIVE toilets!! Amazing.

Paula was incredibly attentive without ever imposing. She met us at check in, showed us around our quaint room with lovely garden views, and asked about breakfast for the next day. We had an early appointment and couldn’t be there, so she insisted on putting together a picnic breakfast. It was amazing, with fresh sandwiches, cheese, fresh fruit, cereal bars and a chocolate treat. The next morning’s breakfast fully met our expectations: delicious smoked salmon and scrambled eggs, quality meats on the full English, and plenty of fresh fruit, yogurts, cereal, coffee and juices. Paula goes above and beyond. She provides a shuttle bus to local villages at her own cost, and there’s cutlery, crockery, a mini fridge for food in the rooms, and a tea tray with loads of options. It’s a beautiful, peaceful place, and the house is impeccably kept and run outstandingly. We’ll most certainly be back.

A terrible place to stay. The beds in two rooms were too small, and the plumbing was extremely noisy throughout the property. The bathroom window was broken, and the en suite bathrooms were far too small except in one room. There was no working central heating, no TV reception, and the property felt tired and run down.

Trish and Paula were so attentive, and nothing felt like too much trouble. I had a comfortable room with its own bathroom, and breakfast this morning was great fuel for my journey home. I stayed one night on 1 March 2019 and would certainly stay here again if I visit Dawlish.

The owner was kind and really helpful, even offering to take me to and from the station. Breakfast was outstanding, and the location is lovely, with a fantastic walk along the sea wall to Teignmouth. Inside, the furnishings feel beautiful and cosy, and the bed and duvet were warm and comfortable. There was lots of thoughtful detail too, including tea, Earl Grey, coffee, fresh milk, a fridge and microwave. I'd definitely stay again.
