Charlotte House

I left Charlotte House thinking everything was fine, then later got an email saying I was being charged £30 for smoking. There was no proper explanation, and since I'd already checked out, how could they be sure? If something was wrong, the room should have been checked while I was still there. That's their responsibility, not a decision to make after a guest has gone. No one mentioned it at checkout or gave me a chance to respond. They simply charged me without discussing it. That's unacceptable, and not how a professional hotel should handle things. You can't really call it a hotel, though. I wouldn't recommend staying here. If they can add a charge after checkout, who knows what else they might do? A very disappointing experience.

This place worked perfectly for me, about 5 minutes from the North West Academy. I emailed before arriving and got the Code straight away. The number pad is a little tricky to figure out, but the instructions explain it if you read them carefully. Everything was clean, and there's a fridge on the 1 floor to chill your beer or coke. I'll definitely come back.

Just what I needed for a one-night stay. The place is really nice, and you can tell as soon as you walk in that they've put work into keeping it up. It's on a quiet street too, which helps.

The room was tiny but clean, and there was no service. My only contact with the owner was through the intercom at the door. Outside looked neglected and untidy, with a lawn that needed mowing. It's handy for town, but the area of Derry felt dreary and run down.
