The breakfast was a highlight, fresh, hearty, and beautifully prepared, so give yourself time to enjoy it. The hosts are welcoming and knowledgeable, and happy to suggest nearby attractions, restaurants, or hidden gems. It’s a good base for Derry’s historic walls, museums, and cultural spots, while the property itself is surrounded by peaceful countryside views. Bring a camera or take a quiet walk to soak it all in. Groarty House & Manor is a gem, and I’ll be back. The place was spotless and well maintained, with a warm atmosphere that made me feel at home. My bed was exceptionally comfortable, and the room had a kettle with tea, coffee, and milk, plus a TV, a nice shower, and fresh towels. The scenery adds to the charm. Parking is available if you’re driving, but the property is a little outside the city center, so plan ahead if you’re relying on public transport.

The hosts were kind, friendly, and hospitable, and breakfast was delicious, with lots of choices on top of the standard fryup. My room was comfortable and had an incredible view of the city of Derry. Definitely worth checking out if you’re planning to stay and explore Derry for a day or two.

The breakfast was the best part, really delicious. The owner was so welcoming and always smiling, and everything about the stay felt perfect. 10/10!

The location worked well for getting into Derry and for heading west, which was our preferred direction to visit. It’s a safe, no-frills B&B with standard rooms and breakfast. The price seemed fair, and we had no real downsides, though it isn’t luxurious and feels a bit old-fashioned.
