We found Dornoch Beach well worth visiting, with its beautiful golden sand, rock pools and miles of good walking. Luigi's Italian Restaurant is next door, and Dornoch Castle Hotel is only a few minutes away on foot, so there are two very good places to eat nearby. The B&B is right in the centre of Dornoch, with wonderful hosts, comfortable beds and a practical, well-designed, well-maintained bathroom. Breakfast was perfect.

We were in Dornoch for my birthday, celebrating as a family, and felt right at home at the 2 Quail. The owners were so welcoming. The rooms were warm and the beds comfortable, and we all enjoyed gathering by the lounge fire in the evenings. Michael cooked us a wonderful meal on our last night. It was exquisite. We’ll be back.

The town is delightful, and while my husband played golf, I got to wander around and explore. We’re already looking forward to coming back next year. Our four days at 2 Quail were glorious, and Michael and Kerensa Carr made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with lovely fresh towels, and Kerensa keeps the guest house meticulously. The library is a real treasure. As someone who loves food, I especially enjoyed the meals. Michael is a tremendous chef, and the dinners were fresh, excellent and served with such care. Breakfast was excellent every day. They’re wonderful people, and the whole stay was a wonderful experience. Thank you.

We’ve just had two blissful nights here. Kerensa was a lovely host and made us feel very welcome. The room, bed and linen were beautiful, and breakfast was super. Everything was handled within the Covid guidelines. A memorable stay, thank you.

The library, rooms, breakfast and friendly company were all just right for our five-night stay with golf friends. Michael and Kerensa are lovely hosts. The location worked perfectly for our trip, close to Royal Dornoch GC, Golspie GC and Brora GC.
