Heartseed House B&B

The best B&B breakfast we've ever had was in the sunroom, looking out over the garden and all the birds. We enjoyed the stay so much that we added an extra night. Our room was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had a super-comfortable bed. Dee and Nigel made us feel at home right away. They're fantastic hosts with great local tips, and their knowledge shaped some lovely day trips. Dornoch is a gem, with a gorgeous beach and plenty of wildlife watching nearby. We had a delicious lunch at The Pier and went salmon spotting afterwards. Can't recommend Dee & Nigel's place enough. We'll definitely be back.

Dee & Nigel catered for everything and nothing was too much trouble. I spent two nights here while travelling round the NC500, and they even had ideas for a day out. I felt more like part of the family than a guest 😂👌. Hopefully I'll see you on a golfing trip later in the year. Thanks again, Stuart.

The garden was great for letting our puppy have a run, and the view from the Loch room was stunning, perfect for watching the world go by. Breakfast was on another level, with loads of choice, all freshly cooked using quality ingredients. Dee and Nigel made us feel like family from the moment we came in, and when Dee said to treat the house like our own, we felt completely at ease with the puppy. Dee and Nigel are fabulous hosts. Five stars hardly feels enough for Heart seed House. They've set the bar so high that anywhere else may disappoint. If we need a B&B in Dornoch again, we know exactly where to go.

Dornoch is a lovely, picturesque town, with plenty of places to eat, and the countryside around the BnB made for a wonderful day out after we were given a lovely tour suggestion. Heartseed is clearly popular with returning guests, so it gets booked up and it’s best to book early. Nigel and Dee made us feel very welcome. Our bedroom was comfortable and had a beautiful outlook, and breakfast was sumptuous. There were thoughtful extras everywhere, from Egyptian cotton sheets and a fridge with water and fresh milk to tea, coffee and biscuits, including gluten free ones. The shower was powerful, the towels luxurious, and there’s a separate guest lounge, conservatory and patio for enjoying the garden. I’d definitely recommend staying here.
