Bluebells Guesthouse

For a relatively cheap one-night stay, the room was on the small side but came with towels, wall-mounted shower gel and shampoo, plus tea and coffee facilities. Check-in was self-service, but we hadn’t received entry instructions from Bookings.com, so we called the number beside the doorbell. The lady was helpful and talked us through getting in and finding our keys after checking our details. There’s parking for three cars if requested, though nobody was parked there that day, and one Tesla charging point. The bathroom could use refreshing, but it did the job. Shops are within walking distance, with a few good car parks in the town centre. If you’re driving, there’s a pentrol station a few yards down the road.

A great place to stay, with clean rooms and great customer service. I’d give it four stars because the view was of a car park and there was nowhere to store bikes. Still a good choice if you need somewhere to stay.

I’ve never stayed here, since it’s next door to a friend’s house. The property always looks clean and tidy.
