A simple, lovely little cottage that felt like home, with rolling hills visible from the windows. Everything we needed was provided, so just bring your own food. The kids and adults both had a great time playing hide-and-seek. The children did say the sheets felt a little itchy, but otherwise it was cosy and quaint. We'd highly recommend it for a stay in the area. Dover Castle is maybe a five-minute drive away.
The beds were comfortable, though the rooms are on the small side. Getting the car up the very steep drive was a nightmare in our relatively wide vehicle. The bathroom is downstairs, reached through the kitchen, which gets noisy at night and makes showering awkward.
We had a brilliant weekend here and plan to come back. The village is peaceful and relaxing, and the place was tidy with everything we needed. The local pub was fantastic too, really friendly.
Cosy, clean house, and just right for an overnight stop before heading to the ferry or train terminal.
A cosy place with adequate facilities, though you'll need to go to a shop for essentials. The driveway takes some figuring out but is manageable, and reversing in is the best way.
